Grandmother of missing Tennessee toddler in court for auto theft

National News

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WEHT) The grandmother of a missing 15-month-old Tennessee girl is searching for a lawyer. Angela Boswell, 42, was in court Wednesday facing felony theft charges.

She was arrested for stealing a vehicle after she and her boyfriend were caught in the stolen car.

Boswell told judges she was having trouble finding legal representation due to the stigma surrounding the case of her granddaughter, Evelyn Boswell.

Evelyn hasn’t been seen since December. Authorities say she was not reported missing until February.

Evelyn’s mother was arrested last week for giving investigators false reports.
