(WEHT)- A new study from Olivet Nazarene University has revealed new insights about how American workers feel about their work place.
Cubicles, long a fixture of American office space, are no longer the most common office layout with a mix of open space and private offices taking the top spot at 34 percent.
Cubicle workers are also the least happy, with only 67 percent of respondents saying they’re happy with their set up. Overall, 77 percent of people said they are currently happy with their layout. However, people in private offices are the happiest with 90% of those respondents saying they’re happy with their space.
67 percent of people surveyed said they’re as productive as they can be, though only 60 percent of cubicle workers said that. 58 percent of workers also said they were less productive when working remotely.
The survey was conducted in November and is available here.
