(WEHT)- A suspect is in custody Sunday after two officers were shot, less than 12 hours apart. Both officers are expected to survive but now the police are looking into the suspect’s past and a potential motive for the shooting.
Police identified the suspect as 45-year-old Robert Williams, a Bronx resident with a criminal history. Williams was convicted of attempted murder in 2002 and was paroled in 2017. New York City Mayor, Bill de Blasio called the attacks “premeditated.”
