Ron Geary sells Icemen to Florida businessman

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Ron Geary has sold off his majority stake in the Icemen Hockey franchise.

The announcement was made Tuesday in downtown Jacksonville.

According to the Florida Times Union, Geary sold the ECHL franchise to Florida businessman, Andy Kaufmann.

Kaufmann is now the CEO and Governor of the Icemen.

Geary famously moved the team to Jacksonville after a falling out with the City of Evansville and an attempt to setup the team in Owensboro.
