Songwriter of “September,” Allee Willis, dies at 72

(ABC) – 72 year old Allee Willis passed away Christmas Eve of cardiac arrest.

Willis was a two time Grammy winner and famous for the “Friends” theme song as well as “September” for Earth Wind and Fire.

Willis collaborated with great artists like James Brown, Patti LaBelle, and the Pointer Sisters.

Willis is also in the Songwriter Hall of Fame.
