(WEHT) – A new study shows which states have the highest percentage of residents 65 and older.
Kentucky ranked 26th, with 16.4% of the state’s population being 65 and older.
Indiana ranked 35th (15.7%) and Illinois ranked 37th (15.6%).
Maine ranked the highest at 20.6% and Utah ranked the lowest at 11.10%.
By 2030, it’s estimated that at least 1 in 5 Americans will be 65 or older.
