Truck driver tased after allegedly causing a scene at Love’s in Hanson

HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – Madisonville Police had to tase a truck driver after he allegedly caused a scene at a truck stop and refused to pull over for officers.

This happened at Love’s Truck Stop in Hanson, Kentucky.

Police were told a man, identified as Tyrone Purce, was screaming and beating on the counter.

Madisonville Police say after he left in his semi-truck, they received another complaint about his driving on Eastside Lane.

When officers approached Purce, there they say he refused to stop.
Officers had to use their tasers to eventually arrest him.

Purce is charged with Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs/alcohol, resisting arrest, assault and disorderly conduct.
