US leaders want domestic carriers to ground Boeing 737 Max 8 after deadly crash

More than 20 airlines are grounding the Boeing 737 Max 8 Jet following that deadly crash in Ethiopia.

And now some US leaders want domestic carriers to do the same.

One hundred and fifty-seven passengers and crew died, including eight Americans, when that Boeing 737 Max 8 went down after takeoff over the weekend.

Senator Mitt Romney tweeted about grounding the planes.

American and Southwest are among US carriers flying the Boeing 737 Max 8S.

Both have expressed confidence in their fleets.
