Walmart to stop selling E-cigarettes

National News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The nation’s largest retailer says it’s not going to sell electronic cigarettes anymore.

Wal-Mart made that announcement Friday as the number of deaths and illnesses related to vaping grows.

The company says it decided to act due to uncertainty surrounding how federal, state, and local governments may start to regulate the products.

Wal-Mart will continue selling the devices it currently has in inventory.

The decision also applies to the company’s Sam’s Club stores.

The retailer made a similar decision earlier this month when it announced it would no longer sell handgun ammunition.
