LONDON, Eng. (AP) For the first time since WWII, Wimbledon has been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Wimbledon was scheduled to be played in London from June 29th to July 12th.

The last time Wimbledon was called off was 1945.

Wimbledon now joins the long list of sporting events cancelled or postponed amid the pandemic including the NCAA Tournament and 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
