(WEHT) – Ford has developed a new tool to help neutralize COVID-19 inside police vehicles.
The heated software enhancement temporarily raises the interior temperature of the car to at least 133 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes.
Ford says this is hot enough and long enough to kill more than 99 percent of disease-causing germs.
The software was tested on police vehicles in New York, Los Angeles, Florida, Michigan, Massachusetts and Ohio.
