(WEHT)- After 23 days, 30-year-old Tyson Steele has been rescued from his makeshift shelter in the Alaskan wilderness.
A helicopter responding to a welfare check spotted Steele waving his arms near his shelter, where he’d also written S-O-S in the snow.
Steele says his cabin burned down, killing his dog and leaving him stranded. He says he survived on canned food and dug a snow cave for himself.
