(WEHT)- Republican Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) said she’s “open to witnesses” in the upcoming impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. However, Collins stopped short of saying who, specifically, should be called to testify.
Senate Minority Leader, Chuck Schumer (D- New York) requested White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney and former National Security Advisor John Bolton be called. However, Democrats and Republicans have largely failed to come to an agreement on how the trial should be run.
Susan Collins is one of several Republican Senators who could be decisive votes in the impeachment trial.
