WASHINGTON (WEHT)- The US House of Representatives voted mostly along party lines to pass sweeping legislation that would ban menthol-flavored vaping items and cigarettes.
It follows a ban on most flavored vaping products announced by the White House in January. However, Democrats were unhappy the ban did not extend to menthol-flavored and tank-based products.
Most House Republicans voted against the bill, which is opposed by the White House. The bill is unlikely to pass in the Republican-controlled Senate.
