Under pressure from a number of Hispanic groups, NBC Universal is severing its business ties to presidential candidate Donald Trump.
The Miss USA pageant coming up on July 12th, will not be airing on the network.
Speaking to reporters after a campaign event in Chicago, Trump said he had enjoyed a “great” relationship with NBC, but would not back down on his views about immigration.
Trump told CNN correspondent Athena Jones that he may sue NBC.
Univision had already announced it would no longer work with Trump after the statements he made when announcing his presidential bid.
“You have a border that’s really unsafe, so I had someone take a look, is it safe?
Stories were mindboggling. Univision pulls out but I’ll sue them… Maybe NBC doesn’t have the courage to say We need strong borders, maybe NBC will pull out, I don’t know,” said Trump.
Trump also invoked NBC’s suspended anchorman saying “they will stand behind lying Brian Williams, but won’t stand behind people that tell it like it is, as unpleasant as that may be.”
