New colored headlights law goes into effect July 1

Starting July 1, Indiana State Police Sgt. Todd Ringle says headlights and other lamps on the front of vehicles must be white or amber.

Colored lights such as blue, green, and red will no longer be allowed.

Stop lamps and taillights must be red.

License plate lights must be white.

The backup light must be white or amber.
