Spice, K-2, and bath salts have been on the radar for awhile now, but the director of the Indiana Poison Control Center is making his staff aware of the newest designer drug making the rounds.

Police say the latest synthetic drug among teens is called “2-C” or “Smiles”.

Officials say it’s hard for parents to spot if you don’t know what you’re looking for.  The drug got it’s nickname, “Smiles”, because its side effects mimic those of LSD and Ecstasy.

New Indiana laws have taken similar so-called party drugs off the shelves, but experts say they are still dealing with new versions constantly popping up.
