New Traffic Light Being Installed at Spencer County Intersection

Spencer County Residents Making Case For New Stoplight_1614182128398713869
A new traffic signal is going up near South Spencer High School, a victory for residents who have voiced safety concerns.

The Indiana Department of Transportation had workers installing the stop light at the State Road 66-Orchard Rd. intersection today. It is scheduled to be activated between noon and 1 p.m. Monday.

This is just part of INDOT’s solution. Crews will eventually install a roundabout.

An 18-year-old South Spencer student, Jacob Hamilton, was killed at the intersection back in March.
