NWS confirms EF1 tornado touched down near Robards, KY

The National Weather Service has confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down near Robards, Kentucky.

NWS officials say the tornado touched down just a few miles north of Robards on Thursday.

It happened between 11:57 a.m. and 11:59 a.m., with the path being 1.2 miles long.

Wind gusts reached 100 miles per hour.
