EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – It’s hard enough to live through something as horrible as the attacks of September 11, 2001, but imagine living through it and trying to remain calm in order to keep millions of people up-to-date on what was happening.
That was Bill Ritter’s job that day.
Bill is the lead anchor of Eyewitness News on WABC in New York City.
He was at Ground Zero again on Wednesday morning.
Brandon Bartlett spoke with him by FaceTime about covering such a big story in a world that was suddenly changed.

This year is the first year that most students graduating from high school were born after 9/11.
That’s why he said it’s important to keep telling the story.
