Sixty-one students were recognized for their educational achievements.

The graduates completed both educational and vocational programs, including high school equivalency, Building Trades, Culinary Arts, Master Student to Master Employee and Cosmetology.

This is a partnership between OCU and the Indiana Department of Corrections to help provide offenders with skills, trades and nationally recognized certifications to help with their re-entry upon release.

The president of Oakland City University offered the graduates words of encouragement after congratulating them on their academic achievements.

Matt Miller, an award-winning educator and author, was the keynote speaker.

His speech focused on new beginnings and how to use failure as a motivator.
