OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – This year’s Owensboro Air Show is getting ready for takeoff along the riverfront and across the city.
This year’s performers were practicing Friday afternoon, drawing a crowd at Smothers Park and near the Convention Center.
The F-16 Viper demo team is one of several acts scheduled to appear this weekend.
Organizers say people should protect themselves against the warmer than usual weather while watching the show.
“Sunday is going to be a little bit warmer. Bring your hat. Bring your sunscreen. There’s plenty of food vendors up and down the water. Stay hydrated because it’s going to be warm, especially for September.”
Tens of thousands of people are expected to watch the Air Show this weekend.
More information can be found on Owensboro Air Show’s website.
