An Owensboro man is facing federal charges in a massive drug investigation.

The FBI got involved following the 2017 arrest of 32-year-old John Renfrow.

At the time, Daviess County investigators say they discovered three pounds of crystal meth inside a home in the 2700 block of Mercedes Drive.

The street value of the meth is estimated at $18,000.

Over the next 21 months, Renfrow was charged twice more with trafficking in meth by Kentucky State Police.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Renfrow earlier this month, and he was taken into custody Tuesday at a home on Benton Avenue.

At the time of his arrest, authorities say they discovered a large bag of marijuana and an additional six ounces of crystal meth inside the home.

Renfrow is currently being held in the Daviess County Detention Center.
