HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) – The Owensboro Board of Education approved a new security system at a special meeting Thursday morning.
The meeting, which was originally scheduled to take place on March 23, was moved to Thursday after an incident earlier this week. The threat detection system works by detecting dense objects and recognizing the shapes of potential objects.
Owensboro Public School has not set a timetable for when the system could be implemented.
