Panther Creek Bridge closed indefinitely, KYTC seeking information

DAVIESS COUNTY, Ky. (WEHT) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) says the Panther Creek Bridge has been damaged, resulting in an indefinite closing.

KYTC says the bridge was hit by an over-sized load that damaged every cross member along the top portion of the bridge.

Traffic on KY 81 will be routed along a marked detour.

At this time, KYTC has no information in regards to the driver of the vehicle or of the time the crash occurred. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet at 270-339-2787 or the Kentucky State Police at 270-676-3313.
