Parks Board approves rebidding for Deaconess Aquatic Center

News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Parks Board members approved the rebidding for the Deaconess Aquatic Center.

The board opened bids for the aquatic center about a month ago, but it has decided to throw out most of those bids.

The board awarded bids for mechanics, ceramic and fire protection, but it has decided to rebid the 13 remaining contracts.

Parks officials say they decided to rebid the project because they are going to redesign the project to keep it within the budget.

According to Parks Department Director Brian Holtz, the rebid will not affect the completion date of 2021.
