City could add safety signs to Greenway

News

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The Evansville Parks Department may add signs or mirrors to a blind corner on the Greenway.

The winding path is under the Franklin Street bridge, near Pigeon Creek.

It is marked with yellow signs, but Director Brian Holtz says the city may try to make it more obvious.

In 2016, two bikers crashed here and sued the city. They have recently settled out of court.

Holtz says the Parks Department could add flashing lights or mirrors to help see around the corner.
