GRAND RIVERS, Ky. (WEHT) – A famous Kentucky restaurant opened its doors again after nearly two years.
Patti’s 1880’s Settlement caught fire in February 2018.
People from all over the Midwest are making their way to Patti’s to be a part of the opening.
More than 300 reservations were made, and the restaurant was only open from 5PM to 9PM.
The people who work at Patti’s say it’s been a long road to get here, but they’re happy it’s finally here.
But there are some growing pains.
“It has been a good response. I know everybody’s a little frustrated with the phone systems. Because they’re trying to make the reservations. And of course, with the building isn’t completely open. We have one whole corner they were open up, so we have about four dining rooms that we’re not opening up just yet because we some staff that were still training. We hope to have those open in the next month.”
The fire in 20-18 was caused by electrical problems in the kitchen.
So, the old building was torn down and this new one took its place.
Patti’s was established in 1880 and has been a destination point for Tri-Staters.
