Evansville is one step closer to having a new Christian high school.
Plans for the school have been in the works for nearly three years.
Groundbreaking ceremonies are scheduled for mid-June.
The 30,000-square-foot school will be located in an open area between Crossroads Christian Church and Epworth United Methodist at Epworth and Lincoln Rd.
Mike Allen heads up Evansville Christian School, the school planning the high school.
Allen says, “There are families looking for an interdenominational Christian high school. And as a school that has consistently performed in the top level of academics and top level of culture, we spend a lot of time focusing on growth, relationships and service with all our families and all of our students. It’s just an attractive option for a lot of families.”
Allen says the school will take about a year to build.
