Police pursuit begins in Pike, ends in Vanderburgh County

A multi-county police pursuit ends in Vanderburgh County.

According to Indiana State Police, that pursuit began just before 12:30 Friday morning in Pike County.

After heading south through Gibson and Warrick Counties, the chase ended in Vanderburgh County near Old State Road.

Right now, there is no information on what lead to the pursuit.

Troopers say at one point, stop sticks were deployed, but were ineffective.

Authorities say one person was taken into custody.

Troopers say they believe the suspect’s vehicle is from the Terre Haute area.
