Evansville Police say an ongoing feud over rap music and social media leads to the shooting death of a local rapper.
Robert Suggs and Darius Suggs both face murder charges in the death Chavar “Nupin” Snider. A police affidavit says when officials arrived, they found snider with a gunshot wound to the back of his head and a gun in his hand. His finger was allegedly on the trigger.
After conducting interviews, police learned that Robert Suggs and Snider had a feud over their music careers and Facebook.
Police say that the witnesses reported several shots fired, but say they have no evidence that Snider fired any shots.
Both suspects had initial court appearances today. About a dozen family members showed up to support Darius and Robert.
Both men pleaded not guilty in their separate court hearings on Monday.
Robert is being held without bond. However, Darius’ attorney asked the judge to review whether the case had enough probable cause to go to trial.
The judge took it under advisement and will rule on bond at a later date.
