President Obama Honors the Fallen at Arlington National Cemetery

President Obama lays a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
Defense Secretary Ash Carter joined him at Arlington National Cemetery to honor troops killed while serving our country.

“Today is the 1st Memorial Day in 14 years that the United States is not engaged in a major ground war. So on this day we honor the sacrifice of the thousands of American service members, men and women who gave their lives since 9/11 including more than 2200 American patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan.
The President went on to speak about the sacrifices so many Americans have made for our country.
