For the first time in the Vanderburgh County Fair’s 95-year history, there’s going to be a professional rodeo show tonight at the 4-H Fair Grounds.
Vanderburgh County’s 4-H Fair is one of the first in the Tri-State to host this kind of event.
Organizers tell us the idea is generating a lot of interest.
From bareback bronco riding to barrel races and steer wrestling, the rodeo is expected to be a pretty entertaining show.
“Not only do we have gas power, we have actual horsepower this year with the rodeo and we think it’ll bring in a lot of new people to our fair ,” said Olivia Dewese
The rodeo starts at 7 p.m.
This year’s new Miss Vanderburgh County 2015 was just crowned last night. She and her father are expected to perform the barrel race at the rodeo.
The whole time, she’s going to try and wear the crown.
