More funding to remove eyesores in Evansville has been approved.
A public hearing is scheduled today for the Evansville Department of Metropolitan Development.
They are expected to discuss the impact of the city’s Blight Elimination program.
The city has been approved for a second round of funding for the project, totaling $677,000.
The money will be used to acquire and demolish 31 rundown residential structures.
Last August, the city received more than a million dollars in the first round of funding.
That money is being used to acquire and demolish 82 additional properties.
Tuesday’s public hearing will be held at the CK Newsome Center at 6:00pm.
