The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says they plan to start paving work in Pike and Gibson County on Monday.

INDOT is planning lane closures for State Road 57 between Oakland City and Petersburg, beginning on or around Monday.

Crews will restrict lanes on State Road 57 both north and southbound from State Road 64 to just under a half-mile south of State Road 56.

Workers will be patching, milling and resurfacing State Road 57 for just over 12 miles.

Drivers should expect and prepare for traffic delays.

Leave home early and figure in extra time to get to your destination.

Work is expected to last until late July or early August, depending upon weather conditions.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down, stay alert, and don’t drive distracted near work crews.
