A new study reveals that graphic pictures on the consequences of smoking encourage young people to avoid the habit.

Research shows that people ages 18-25 understood the dangers of smoking better through a combination of warning labels and graphic images.
They said the images helped them learn about the various consequences of smoking, including cancer and heart disease.

The research was done by a Washington State University psychology professor, and was published online in the Annals of Behavioral Medicine.
