RICHMOND, Va. (WEHT) – A large pro-gun rally in Virginia ended peacefully despite early fears of violence.

Thousands of gun rights advocates gathered in Richmond, Virginia on Monday to oppose legislation which would restrict access to firearms in the state. The governor declared a temporary state of emergency ahead of the rally amid concerns of possibly extremist and white nationalist groups disrupting.

Authorities say despite concerns, the crowd was peaceful and there were no reports of violence.
