HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)– A Salvation Army is asking for help. The Henderson Salvation Army says it’s missing gifts and volunteers to help with the more than 700 children who need to be sponsored as part of the angel tree program. The deadline to bring in gifts for your angel was Friday. But there are still some who haven’t brought them in. The salvation army says there are still about 30 tags that haven’t been claimed.

“We have the beautiful privilege to be able to step in the gap for those that are in need in our community. But we need the community’s support. We need their help to help us complete this mission,” Crystal Carringer says.

The deadline to bring gifts has been extended until Monday. Tags can be picked at the Henderson Walmart.
