Schedules Set for Tri-State Fourth of July Celebrations

Evansville Fourth of July festivities will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday.

All activities will be on Riverside Drive.

Fireworks will start at around 9 p.m.

The event is free to attend.

In Henderson the fireworks begin at 9, but the festivities last all day.

There will be food vendors, a petting zoo and pony rides. The Community Band plays at 4 p.m.. See Lewis D. Chaney, Magical Entertainer from 6-9 p.m.

Brian Hart and the Slick Willy Band play from 6-9 p.m.


Across the river in Owensboro, Independence Day festivities will start at 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.

The event will be at the Owensboro Convention Center.

Admission is free and activities include food, face painting, and a bike parade starting at 5 p.m.

The fireworks get underway at 9:15 p.m.


In Newburgh, fireworks and the boat parade will be on Friday July 3.

The boat parade will gather in front of Mulzer Crushed Stone at 6 p.m. going along the riverfront.

Then at 8:30 p.m., the American Legion Color Guard will present the flag and the sky will light up with fireworks at approximately 9 p.m.

Uniontown will have a fireworks show July 4th after dark. 

The Union County Volunteer Fire Department will be serving pork burgers, pork chops, hot dogs, polish sausage, fried pickles and lemon shakeups. 

There will be a cornhole tournament, a dunking booth and music. 

Main Street at Third Street will be blocked around 2:00 p.m. Food will be available at 5:00. Officials say to bring your own lawn chairs.
