Sen. Young discusses Syria, Turkey

(WEHT/CNN) – President Donald Trump announced on Wednesday that sanctions against Turkey are being lifted.

“The sanctions will be lifted unless something happens that we are not happy with,” President Trump said.

The president said Turkey has informed the US it will make the five-day ceasefire in Syria permanent.

US Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) said removing troops rapidly could lead to potential problems.

Sen. Young mentioned the president said he made a promise to remove US troops from foreign countries back in 2016.
