Two special prosecutors have been appointed to handle the case of an Evansville firefighter accused of rape.
Special judge Greg Granger appointed Stan Levco and Jonathan Parkhurst to handle the case against Evansville firefighter Michael Loveless.
Loveless is charged with rape, criminal confinement and other charges stemming from an incident last month.
Levco says he plans to file additional charges. During the hearing, defense attorney Scott Danks argued on a motion he filed to dismiss the rape and criminal confinement charges. Judge Granger did not rule on the motion.
Loveless remain in jail on a $50,000 cash bond. He’ll be back in court next month.
