Still No House Vote on Kentucky Smoking Ban

Evansville Smoking Ban Upheld_7774415098164101996
It’s been on the calendar for weeks, but Kentucky House lawmakers still haven’t voted on a statewide smoking ban.

The legislation has been on standby since passing a Health Committee February 6.

Democrat House Speaker Greg Stumbo and Governor Steve Beshear have been gathering support, but Stumbo says it’s an uphill battle.

If passed, smoking wouldn’t be allowed in private businesses or public areas.
