Storms earlier this week destroyed booths that were set up for a big party today at Good Shepherd Church in Evansville. The 30-year-old booths were destroyed by heavy rains Monday evening.
Church officials say they weren’t sure if they would be standing today for the Summer Social. But volunteers showed up Tuesday to rebuild the booths.
“The Parish family has definitely shown that they are an extended family,” said Father Zach Etinne, “and will do anything they can to make stuff happen.”
The new booths were built with a tilt. Because of that, Father Etinne says they will now be able to withstand heavy rain.
