Students are getting settled in at the University of Southern Indiana. Thursday is “Move In Day” – part of Welcome Week at USI.
The Screaming Eagles’ semester starts on Monday.
This is the week where everyone flocks to campus, fills up the dorms, and gets to know each other.
The university has all kinds of activities planned to help the class of 2020 get acclimated.
USI also uses upperclassmen volunteers, called Amigos, to better aid incoming students.
Orientation leader Tim Luczak says, “We’re here to make sure that they have fun, cause everyone is in the same boat here. Everyone is new and everyone doesn’t really know anyone, so we’re here to be that friend. That’s why we’re called amigos.”
The university is having a movie and ice cream event on Thursday evening.
The official class of 2020 photo is being taken on Friday.
