Indiana has the highest rate of black homicide victims per capita in the US, according to results from a recent study.
The statistics come from the Violence Policy Center, a national non-profit.
States were ranked using FBI data from 2013 on black homicide victimization rates.
Indiana not only ranks highest per 100,000 people, but it was more than twice the national rate.
Of the 2013 homicides, 188 victims were black men.
Some type of gun was used in 90% of those cases.
Missouri and Michigan ranked second and third.
