Suspect charged in armed robbery of Evansville convenience store

A Person of Interest has been quickly located following an armed robbery in Evansville.

This happened just after 1:00 Monday morning at the Circle K at Washington and Weinbach.

Evansville Police tell us a man wearing a mask and carrying a gun robbed the store and then ran off.

Officers say after a short search, they found a person matching the suspect’s description.

That person is 29-year-old Jason Jermaine Johnson.

He’s being charged with Resisting Arrest and Armed Robbery.

The investigation is continuing.
