A church in Reed, KY became a dumping ground for tires this weekend.
St. Augustine Catholic Church held a recycling day this past weekend, but were only accepting passenger tires.
On Monday morning, church staff arrived to find a large stack of nearly 300 tires dumped on church grounds.
The pile included truck tires and very large tractor tires, which can weigh up to 600 pounds.
Henderson Solid Waste District and the road department were called in to assist with the removal.
The church is now working to move next year’s recycling day to another location.
