NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – A crash involving an overturned tanker truck reportedly carrying thousands of gallons of milk closed a portion of Interstate 65 South just north of downtown Nashville.
The crash happened around 11:40 p.m. Tuesday at the I-65/I-24 split near Exit 86.
Metro police reported the crash involved the tanker and an out-of-county ambulance.
Minor injuries were reported in the crash.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation helped to manage the lane closure and the roadway fully reopened to traffic just before 4:00 a.m.
According to Metro police, the milk has to be removed from the tanker before it can be towed away.
No additional information was immediately released.
