Teacher group calls on Walmart to stop selling guns

WASHINGTON D.C. (WEHT) – The American Federation of Teachers (AFT), which represents nearly 2 million members, is calling on Walmart to stop selling guns.

Following the mass shooting murders at El Paso, Texas, the federation is also asking the nation’s largest retail to fund gun buyback programs and stop donating to politicians who take money from the National Rifle Association.

The AFT is threatening a boycott if Walmart doesn’t act.

Just last week, Walmart made the internal decision to remove marketing for violent video games.
