OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) – Teachers at one Owensboro school congratulate students who did well on their recent K-prep test.
Foust Elementary School teachers put yard signs at the homes of students who scored distinguished or proficient in reading and math.
Its to mark their scores on the tests they took last school year.
Teachers say the signs could motivate other students to do as well as their friends.
“For them to get a sign, they’re going to be so excited, and be like, ‘all my hard work really did pay off!’ and then when their friends see it or their siblings see it, it gives them something. ‘this is something I can do also.'”
Teachers say more than 60 students got yard signs celebrating their achievement.
